How to find your motherboard model number:
There are generally three places to locate the motherboard model number:
Either on the box, on the manual, or the motherboard - it will be the
largest print aside from the word 'Asus'.
On most boards, the model number is located in between the PCI slots (the
three to five white slots running down the motherboard. On some older
boards it will be located around the CPU. On a few select boards, the
model number is located on the top right corner of the motherboard.
On the manual or the box, the model number will be on the front cover
in large bold letters. Example - P4C800-E Deluxe, A7N8X-VM, SK8N)
How to find your motherboard revision number:
On some boards, the revision number of the board is needed to determine
the proper BIOS to be flashed. To locate the revision number, first, locate
the model number. In small print either to the side of the model or below
the model you will see REV. and then a number. That is your motherboard
revision number. Example - REV. 1.04
What BIOS revision do you want?
There are usually several different BIOS revisions to choose from. Please
select the version you are wanting. Generally, the latest BIOS revision
works fine. If you need a specific version, please specify that version.
Example - 1009, 1016, etc.
